Hi, it said on one of your youtube videos to come here if I had any questions about how you remixed the songs. So-

What dictates the relationship between the original vocals (on songs like Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me(Metal Version)) and the new instrumentation? do you retune the vocals to the key of the new backing, or do you write the song in a related key or mode?

if you write to a related key, how do you choose what key (considering that what I know of metal, it's almost always in a minor key, if not harmonic minor which poses more problems than Aeolian) to write it to?

Also, where do you get the vocal track from? do you process it out of the song? or acquire it elsewise?

thanks for making awesome remixes, and keep up the crazy work :P

    Hi medavox

Apologies for the delay. Our artist does not touch the vocals at all. Instead he writes the backing in a relative minor key which is 3 steps down from the major key.

As for the vocal tracks, he finds them online already split out. He typically finds them on websites and/or other youtube videos.

Thanks for the awesome words and good luck on your own endeavors!
