Endless Noise Scores Hyundai for Super Bowl XLVI

If you caught the Super Bowl on Sunday you probably noticed all of the great Hyundai spots scattered throughout the big game. Endless Noise was happy to collaborate with the team at Innocean and lend our original music and sound design to three of those spots.

Here they are, in order of appearance:

Hyundai Elantra “Victory Lap”

Endless Noise composed/arranged a version of John Philips Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” on nylon string guitar and handled sound design.

Welcome to “The Bark Side”

The Super Bowl, Volkswagen, Star Wars, Endless Noise…Sound familiar? The old gang is back together after the success of last year’s “The Force” with a new spot called “The Bark Side” featuring 11 very cute dogs barking “The Imperial March” and one very ridiculous AT-AT. All of the crew at Endless Noise were extremely excited about working on this one with our friends at Deutsch LA. We acted as “Barkestrators” composing and arranging this canine chorus. With Arf Vader leading the pack we may all be headed for The Bark Side…

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid “One Less Battery”

If you’re a football fan (or have been watching TV at all lately) you’ve probably come across our latest spot for the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid called “One Less Battery.” Endless Noise composed the original score as well as creating the sound design track which was really essential to the commercial’s concept. We got to spend a day on set with Lance Accord capturing all of the funny and frustrating sounds you hear. The commercial may stir up bad memories of your own smoke alarm woes, but we think it’s healthy to laugh about it. Enjoy!

HTC Radar “Self Portrait”

Filmed in the creative mecca of Berlin, Germany and accompanied by Endless Noise’s original music, “Self Portrait” depicts the creative process of an artist who uses her smartphone as a tool to inspire her project before unveiling it to the public. Beautifully shot by Ellen Kuras – see HTC Radar “Self Portrait” for yourself below.

Volkswagen Passat “Rocket Man”

We’ve all misheard or made up our own lyrics before…ya know like, “Hot Blooded! Chicken of the Sea…” For this Volkswagen ad we took on Elton John’s classic “Rocket Man” where ridiculous lyric flubs like “Burning up the room with cheap cologne” are featured until the Passat’s crystal clear Fender premium audio sets us straight. The folks at Deutsch brought us on to help arrange how the musical segments would play out and also to compose a smooth jazz version of “Rocket Man” for the elevator scene.

Endless Noise has a hand in “The Force”

For the Volkswagen Super Bowl commercial “The Force” for the 2012 Passat, Endless Noise was brought on by the fine folks at Deutsch LA to handle the musical arrangement/editorial and sound design. Working with such iconic images and John Williams’ score, we were sure it would be a hit and it has certainly proven to be just that. Check it out below and on game day during the 2nd quarter.

#5 on SHOOT’s Top Ten Spot Tracks

Endless Noise’s work on the Urban Ministries PSA “Family” was recently featured on SHOOT Magazine’s Top Ten Spot Tracks chart. Our arrangement/recording of Marketa Irglova’s “The Hill” from the film Once (the score for the commercial) was listed at #5 on the chart. We’re honored and excited to be featured on SHOOT’s Top Ten – especially for such a meaningful project.

If you haven’t yet seen the spot you can view “Veteran” (same music, slightly different spot) in our previous blog post or in our “Latest Work” section.
